Public Meeting, Christmas Party and Launch of Vision Statement Monday 8 December at 7:30PM

Transport in Wandsworth – Policy Proposals from Wandsworth Living Streets – Can we do better?

There is lots to celebrate – 2 more wards in the borough are getting 20mph; the new pedestrian crossing at Clapham Junction is up and running; all the amenity societies and Wandsworth Council are becoming active on the issue, vital to the health of us all, of air quality; and there are the official commitments to the Balham Boulevard idea and the removal of the much loathed Wandsworth Gyratory. Do come to this Christmas social. It will be a lovely occasion for all of us to get to know one another better. And we are inviting various Councillors; so you will have an opportunity to meet them too.

Your Committee has prepared a vision statement setting out a range of practical things that could be done to improve transport generally, and our streets in particular, in the borough. You will shortly be sent it by email. Printed copies will be available at the meeting for you to pick up. The meeting will be a chance to hear about it and discuss how we can best use it.

Please let us know if you can come (so that we have an idea of numbers).
